Lake Association Membership

 Member is defined as property owner within 1 mile of the lake. Annual Membership Dues $50

Please note that as a 501(c)4 organization it does not allow for a tax deduction.

Wis. Stat. § 281.68(3m)(b) provides that the DNR must set the minimum and maximum membership fee. 

The DNR then defines a “qualified lake association,” in part, as an organization that “charges an annual membership fee of not less than $5 and not more than $50.” Wis. Admin. Code § NR 193.04(37).
