2026 4th of July Festivities
Saturday, July 4th at 1 pm!
There will be prizes again this year for the Most Patriotic Boat, the Most Unique, and the Best Effort!
Please gather early around 12:30 at the west bay of Lake Mallalieu in preparation for the prompt 1:00 p.m. start. Then proceed from the west end of the lake under the bridge and meander slowly in a counterclockwise direction around the lake. A nice, organized formation with close spacing (and no bumper boat shenanigans please) is the goal. The parade will end back in the bay by the boat launch.
If you can't be on the water please participate from your dock with a wave, smile and decorations/spirit gear!
After the parade, there will be the traditional volleyball setup at the Northeast end of the lake.
Trim up your motors, there will be help to guide you in as you near the sand flats as it gets shallow.
As always, use care and common sense to avoid injury and to protect the beautiful body of water we all call home.
What a wonderful day to celebrate the 4th of July! Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s annual boat parade our biggest and best yet. We truly appreciate all the support from those cheering along the shore, and a special thank‑you to our judges — choosing the winners was no easy task.To the participants who didn’t take home a prize this year, there’s always next time! And apologies for a few fuzzy photos; we’ll work on improving our camera… or our photography skills… for next year. If you captured better photos of the parade, please send them to info@lakemallalieu.org.
